L-Fit Pathways supports children and young people from KS1 through to college age and NEET—providing structured, nurturing alternative provision across Bootle, Liverpool and Sefton.
“We believe every young person deserves a pathway—no matter where they are starting from.”
Founded by co-directors Adam Byrne and Craig Lloyd, L-Fit Pathways is an alternative provision based in Bootle, Liverpool. We support young people aged 5 to 25 who have not yet found the right environment to thrive—offering structured, compassionate, experience-based learning that works.
Our AAL and Forest School sessions provide a uniquely calm, non-judgemental environment where young people build confidence and emotional regulation at their own pace.
Educational tuition keeps young people progressing toward qualifications whilst rebuilding their relationship with learning — at a pace that works for them.
Boxing Fitness and Life Skills sessions build self-regulation, discipline and everyday confidence that translate directly into life and education.
Each provision is designed to meet a young person where they are and move them forward — emotionally, academically, physically and practically.
Working with animals builds empathy, emotional regulation and a sense of responsibility. Our AAL sessions offer a calm, therapeutic environment where young people open up, connect and grow at their own pace — particularly effective for those with SEMH needs, anxiety or trauma histories.
Emotional & SocialQualified Forest School delivery in a natural outdoor setting. Young people develop problem-solving, teamwork, independence and resilience through guided outdoor experiences — away from the pressure of a traditional classroom. Certificated through recognised Forest School frameworks.
Wellbeing & ResiliencePersonalised one-to-one and small-group tuition across core subjects including English, Maths and Science. We work to school or college targets, individual learning plans and EHCPs, ensuring genuine academic progress alongside therapeutic provision.
Academic ProgressNon-contact boxing training that provides structure, discipline and a healthy physical outlet. Proven to improve focus, respect and self-esteem — especially for young people who struggle to engage with conventional activities. Builds the mental resilience to take on daily challenges.
Physical & Mental HealthPractical, real-world sessions covering communication, budgeting, cooking, personal safety, travel training and independence skills. Essential preparation for young people transitioning to adulthood — particularly those at risk of becoming NEET or leaving education without functional life skills.
Independence & ConfidenceStructured support for young people working toward returning to a mainstream or alternative setting, progressing to college, or moving into employment. Includes progress reporting, stakeholder liaison and a personalised transition plan co-produced with the young person and their family.
